TimesLIVE – South Africa's second-biggest news website, published by Arena Holdings – is the home of the group's Sunday Times newspaper and daily digital newsroom, providing breaking news, analysis, sport, entertainment and lifestyle seven days a week. Launched in September 2009, it is edited by Makhudu Sefara and Phumza Sokana, and our editor-in-chief is Sthembiso Msomi.

Our website has a responsive design, making it easy to read on mobile devices. We offer quality reporting throughout the day, breaking the news with stories, email newsletters, and multimedia.

Many articles on TimesLIVE are free to read, except for content from the weekend edition of the Sunday Times and our daily TimesLIVE Premium articles, which are reserved for our subscribers. 

Readers who register on TimesLIVE – it's quick and free – can comment on articles and subscribe to a range of email newsletters.

Readers who subscribe to the Sunday Times have access to all premium Sunday Times and TimesLIVE Premium content online, which includes in-depth investigative reporting, news, analysis and SA's best columnists, as well as lifestyle, sport and entertainment. First published on February 4 1906, the Paper for the People has become an institution in South Africa and an essential weekend read throughout the country. It has earned a reputation for producing hard-hitting, relevant, independent, well-written and authoritative news, particularly on the political front.

Known for its in-depth investigative journalism, the Sunday Times covers all major national and international news, and publishes influential columnists, analysis, lifestyle content, sport and entertainment.
