The search term used most by South Africans ogling the world’s biggest porn website in 2018 was "black South African".

Pornhub published its "year in review" on Thursday,  providing what it described as a "complete recap of the trends, tech and types of porn that logged us on" during 2018.

South Africa is among the top 20 consumers of pornography on the site. Combined, these 20 countries make up 80% of its traffic.

The review revealed that "ebony" was the second choice search term from South Africa.

Other popular terms that originated in South Africa included "Afrikaans", "Cape Town" and "Mzansi".

A breakdown of searches by gender from South Africa indicated that 65% of visitors were men and 35% women.

According to the review, every minute 63,992 new visitors arrive on the site, while 207,405 videos are watched and 57,750 searches are performed.

Kim Kardashian’s sex tape remains the site’s most watched video of all time, with 195 million views.

Earlier in 2018, a leaked sex tape of former home affairs minister Malusi Gigaba appeared on the site.

The newest member of Pornhub’s top 20 is Ukraine, which gained 11 spots over 2017. Sweden, Argentina, Russia and South Africa all remained in the top 20.

South Africa was tied second with Brazil for the most women visiting the site.
