The social media timeline has been abuzz following former Miss SA and Miss Supranational runner-up Thato Mosehle’s nuptials to doctor Frans Maruma, with many wanting to know more about her hubby.

Thato and Frans walked down the aisle at an intimate ceremony in Gauteng, after being together for three-and-a-half years.

Here’s what you need to know about the beauty queen’s knight in shining armour:

HE’S A DOCTOR

Frans is a medical practitioner who has specialised in dermatology, aesthetic medicine cosmetic dermatology and dermatology surgery.

He’s the MD of a skin care clinic called Oraderma in the Free State.

HE’S CONSULTED FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

According to LinkedIn, he’s been a consultant at the department of health and a member of the South African Medical Association (SAMA).

HE’S HELPED SKOLOPAD WITH HER SKIN

The socialite gave Frans a shoutout in May for helping her with her skin issues, encouraging others to consult with him.

THEY STARTED DATING IN 2018

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Thato said she met Frans through work and they have been inseparable since.

“From the time we were dating, he’s always been consistent and made me feel safe. I look forward to starting a family [with him] and living our private life. He’s the love of my life, the sweetest guy ever. I love him so much.” she said.

In an academic paper bearing his name, Frans attributed his work to his now wife, thanking her for moral support during the production of his work.

THEY LEAD PRIVATE LIVES

Thato says while she might have shared her wedding pictures, she prefers to not dish too much about her partner.

“Because I share so much of my life, that’s the only part I don’t want people to have an opinion on.”
