Kagiso Lediga, Thuso Mbedu and John Kani have bagged roles in Disney's new film Mufasa: The Lion King.

The film, set to premiere in December, five months later than originally planned, features renowned stars including Seth Rogen, who will play the role of Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, Donald Glover as King Simba and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Queen Nala. Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter will play Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala.

John Kani returns as Rafiki and Kagiso Lediga joins the cast as young Rafiki.

Composer Lebo M will feature new songs in the film with Lin-Manuel Miranda.
