Nelson Dlamini, by e-mail: Justice Malala couldn't be more accurate.

My clever 16-year-old cousin passed her grade with distinctions last year and her church immediately organised a bursary for her.

I asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up. Her answer was: "I want to be in finance or politics."

I asked: "Well, I can see how you can get into finance, but how are you going to get into politics?"

She said: "Through the branch structures."

Now, if a girl who is as intelligent and as hard working as that can be made to think that there is an easy way out, can you imagine what is happening on the ground?
