I stand by your right to say it I don’t agree with what you say But it is your right to believe it I hear what you have to say

Some silence for their religion

Some for their business

Some silence for their nation

Some for ones they miss

These words shared between us

I stand for your right to say them

Differing ideas may divide us

You have every right to hold them

Some silence should be screams

Some silence says more

Some silence those with dreams

Some silence is called for

I see your right to be wrong

As my right to argue with you

I recognize that I can be wrong

So it helps me grow to hear you

Some silence is about listening

Some silence to reject

Some silence by threatening

Some silence to respect
