Rhodes students barricade campus‚ disrupt classes

Students at Rhodes University in Grahamstown ramped up their protest action today‚ causing the university's leadership to suspend classes until Monday. On Wednesday‚ vice chancellor Sizwe Mabiza‚ during an address to students‚ said that "many parents and students" had written to staff saying they were concerned about the halt to the academic programme because exams were taking place in a matter of weeks.
