Moroka Swallows’ 19-year-old centreback Repo Malepe will make his Bafana Bafana debut in Wednesday’s Cosafa Cup semifinal against Swaziland at Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek. South Africa Under-20 international Malepe will replace Tshepo Rikhotso playing next to captain Rivaldo Coetzee in central defence.Malepe’s introduction is one of three changes to Bafana's starting line-up from the side that beat Lesotho 4-2 on penalties in Saturday’s quarterfinal after the game ended at 1-1 in normal time."I know Badenhorst – he’s lazy but dangerous" - Bafana coach Shakes MashabaDeolin Mekoa will start on the left wing‚ replacing Thembinkosi Lorch.Orlando Pirates’ new signing Thabiso Kutumela replaces suspended Gift Motupa‚ red-carded against Lesotho‚ at second striker.Mekoa and Menzi Masuku’s introduction at half time against Lesotho‚ and Kutumela’s in the 66th minute‚ helped swing the game SA’s way.Though in that game Mekoa went to defensive midfield‚ pushing Abbubaker Mobara to right-back.Injuries‚ withdrawals and the suspension of Motupa have left Bafana with 15 in-field players available. With Masuku not 100 percent match fit‚ he has been left as a super-sub off a depleted bench.Right-back Thembela Sikhakhane and Moseamedi‚ who struggled in their debuts against Lesotho‚ have been given another chance to prove themselves.“Sometimes giving a player half a chance then taking him out‚ that can kill him‚” Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba said.“We wanted to keep the team that played for the sake of consistency‚ but we were forced to make a few changes. At the same time we were worried about making a lot of changes.“We only have 15 in-field players. The biggest challenge is the positions that those in-field players play.“But I think we’ve come up with a solution to this problem.”Mobara‚ another new signing for Pirates‚ missed training on Monday but came through Tuesday’s session unscathed.“It was not a big problem. He had neck muscle spasms‚ but he’s OK now‚” Mashaba said.Bafana are so depleted that they have both reserve goalkeepers – Jody February and Nkosingiphile Gumede – on their bench.South Africa have sent their Under-23 team to the Cosafa Cup as part of their preparations for the Rio Olympic Games men’s football tournament in August.Bafana XI: Reyaad Pieterse – Thembela Sikhakhane‚ Rivaldo Coetzee‚ Repo Malepe‚ Tebogo Moerane – Aubrey Modiba‚ Abbubaker Mobara‚ Lebogang Phiri‚ Deolin Mekoa – Thabiso Kutumela‚ Judas Moseamedi Substitutes: Jody February‚ Nkosingiphile Gumede‚ Tshepo Rikhotso‚ Siphesihle Stuurman‚ Menzi Masuku‚ Thembinkosi Lorch - TMG Digital..
