Mohamed Aboutreika: Dubbed as the Egyptian Zinedine Zidane for his technical skill and excellent vision on the field, Aboutreika's contribution comes not only in finding the net, but also in creating moves in his play-making role behind the strikers. He was nominated for the 2006 African Footballer of the Year award, and was the runner-up in the 2008 African Footballer of the Year.

Amr Zaki: The 25-year-old Wigan Athletic striker started like a house on fire in the English Premiership. Zaki was also nominated for the African Player of the Year award last October. He will be hoping he finds the form that put him on top of the Premiership scoring charts early in the season.

Essam El-Hadary:He is the secondmost-capped Egyptian player, after Ahmed Hassan, with 102 caps. He is also considered one of the best goalkeepers to emerge from the African continent and has won the Nations Cup three times with his country. He was voted goalkeeper of the tournament in both the 2006 and 2008 Nations Cups.
