THE tug-of-war between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates over Siphelele Mthembu has been resolved, at least for now.

The Premier Soccer League's dispute resolution committee yesterday ruled that Mthembu's contract with Pirates was valid after the former Maritzburg City player had signed for both clubs.

Chiefs have seven days to appeal to the SA Football Association.

Chiefs say Mthembu is still training with them, but Pirates team manager Floyd Mbele said his club was satisfied with the decision.

"We have always known that Siphelele is our player and he will play an important role when he comes back," he said. - Mazola Molefe
