The 1980s action classic The Predator gets a much-needed and solidly entertaining new feminist spin in this version set in the world of the Comanche nation 300 years ago. When a ferocious alien monster threatens the safety of her people, a young warrior must defend herself and her community by turning the predator into the prey.

DAY SHIFT

Jamie Foxx becomes the latest blockbuster tentpole star to throw his hat in the Netflix ring in this action horror in which he plays a seemingly normal blue collar family man who has a far more lethal and over-exciting secret life as a fearless vampire killer.

THIRTEEN LIVES

Director Ron Howard brings his solid, dramatically adept skills to this long but engaging adaptation of the story of the globally captivating mission to rescue 13 young members of a Thai soccer club and their coach after they were trapped in a waterlogged cave in 2018.

FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL 

Based on actual events that occurred during the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, this dramatic series focuses on the struggles of emergency doctors to care for the massive influx of patients during the height of the storm, when power across the city of New Orleans was knocked out and the waters and the body count kept steadily rising.
