Details for the memorial and funeral services for Peter “Mashata” Mabuse have been announced.

The comedian, DJ, radio personality and MC, who was also a popular stadium announcer at Mamelodi Sundowns' home matches, was shot dead in Soshanguve on Sunday.

His industry friends and colleagues are set to host a musical tribute night in his honour on Wednesday at the State Theatre in Pretoria with a line-up including comedian Mashabela, Jaziel Brothers, Wilson B Nkosi and others. 

The Mabuse family announced Mashata's memorial service will take place on Thursday at TUT Stadium, Pretoria West Campus, and the funeral service at Akasia Community Hall in Pretoria on Sunday.
